Back when this site was even more in its infancy, I posted the cover art for this new mixtape (download it here) because it was supposed to drop at SxSw around that time, but my assumption is it didn’t show up there or it would’ve appeared on the internet before this weekend?
Blaqstarr’s been on some especially divergent shit as of late, and as I said here when I reviewed his “Get Off” single for the City Paper’s NOISE blog, a lot it’s been kinda off in my opinion, but this mix kills. Reminds me of his We Make It Good mix in terms of just being really insane and spacey and kinda scary to listen to–some next-level shit that keeps the pounding, oppressive brilliance of classic Club all the same.
